Overview

Family OS ("we", "our", "the app") helps you organize your family's members, medicines, planner, emergency contacts, and shared photos or documents. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have.

Information We Collect

• Account information: your name, email address, and profile photo, collected when you sign up or sign in.
• Family data you add: names, relationships, dates of birth, phone numbers, email addresses, and photos of family members you choose to add.
• Health-related data: medicine names, dosages, frequency, and reminder times that you enter for yourself or family members.
• Emergency contacts: names and phone numbers you add for emergency, essential, or helper contacts.
• Planner data: tasks and events you create, including titles, dates, and reminder preferences.
• Photos and documents: images, PDFs, and other files you upload to your Family Gallery, or as profile/cover photos.
• Device contacts (optional): if you use the "Pick from Contacts" feature, we access your device's contact list only to let you select a name and phone number to fill in a form. We do not upload, store, or transmit your full contact list.

How We Use Your Information

We use the information you provide solely to operate the core features of Family OS: displaying your family members, sending medicine and planner reminders, storing your gallery items, and keeping your emergency contacts accessible. We do not sell your personal data, and we do not use it for advertising.

Where Your Data Is Stored

Family OS uses Google Firebase (Firebase Authentication, Cloud Firestore, and Firebase Storage) to securely store your account and app data. Access is restricted so that only your own authenticated account can read or write your family's information.

Notifications

Family OS schedules local reminder notifications on your device (for medicines, planner items, and birthdays) using your device's own notification system. These reminders are generated and stored on your device and are not sent through an external notification server.

Data Retention and Deletion

Your data is retained as long as your account remains active. You may delete individual family members, medicines, planner items, contacts, or gallery items at any time from within the app. You may also request full account deletion — see our Account Deletion page for details.

Children's Information

Family OS is intended for use by adults managing their household. Information about children (such as a child family member's name or date of birth) may be entered by a parent or guardian using the app; we do not knowingly collect information directly from children.

Third-Party Services

Family OS uses the following third-party services to operate:

• Google Firebase (Authentication, Firestore, Storage, Cloud Messaging)
• Google Play Services

Your Rights

You have the right to access, correct, or delete the personal information you've stored in Family OS at any time. Most of this can be done directly within the app. For anything else, contact us using the details below.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by updating the "Last updated" date at the top of this page.
